Tutor on Wheels, represented by Abegail Castillo, LPT, acts as the personal information controller for platform and tutoring operations. This Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is shared, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data We Collect

- Parent and student profiles; age or grade; school and learning information.
- Tutor credentials and verification documents.
- Schedules, locations, and service areas.
- Messages, attendance, session reports, and progress records.
- Payment and transaction references (we do not store card details).
- Support cases, device, security, consent, and audit records.
- Optional photos, recordings, or testimonials — only when separately authorized.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to match and deliver tutoring, verify tutors, manage bookings, payments, payouts, receipts, reports, support, safety, complaints, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service improvement. Optional marketing is used only where consent or another lawful basis applies.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Information may be shared only as necessary with:
- Matched parents and tutors (limited to what each needs).
- Authorized staff and administrators.
- Payment providers and hosting/communications vendors.
- Professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement, and emergency responders when required.
- Parties involved in a lawful business transfer, subject to safeguards.
4. Children's Data
A parent or guardian must provide or authorize information about a minor. We limit child data to what is reasonably necessary, restrict public display, and seek separate permission for public photos, videos, names, testimonials, or promotional use.
5. Retention and Security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for services, records, disputes, safety, tax, and legal obligations. Safeguards include role-based access, strong authentication, encrypted transmission, backups, logs, confidentiality commitments, and incident response.
6. Your Rights
You may request access, correction, objection, deletion or blocking where applicable, data portability where applicable, and information about processing, subject to legal limitations and identity verification. You can submit a request through the contact page. Complaints may also be raised with the National Privacy Commission.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We use only the essential cookies and analytics required for the platform to function and to measure basic usage. We do not use advertising trackers beyond what is listed here, and we will keep this section accurate to the technology we actually deploy.
8. Privacy Incidents
Report suspected unauthorized access, lost devices containing data, mistaken disclosures, or suspicious messages to us immediately through the contact page. We will assess, contain, document, and notify affected persons or authorities when required.
