Terms of Service

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of Tutor on Wheels, operated by Tutor on Wheels ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
Parents and legal guardians must be at least 18 years old. Tutors must hold a valid PRC ID and pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) to be verified.
3. Account Registration
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
4. Services
We provide a platform connecting parents and tutors for K–12 tutoring sessions, online or in-home. We do not directly employ tutors or guarantee outcomes.
5. Session Bookings
- Parents can book sessions through the platform.
- Trial sessions are free.
- Cancellations must be made at least 4 hours before a scheduled session for full refund.
- No-shows by tutors will result in full refund to parent.
6. Payments
Payments are processed via PayMongo. We charge a small platform fee to support operations. Tutors receive payment after session completion, less said fee.
7. Tutors
Tutors must:
- Be a licensed Professional Teacher (LET).
- Maintain a clean background (police check required).
- Honor their posted availability and session commitments.
- Comply with our safety policies for in-home sessions.
8. Safety (In-Home Sessions)
- Sessions can only run between 6 AM – 8 PM.
- An adult (parent or guardian) must be present at all times.
- Sessions cannot take place in isolated locations.
- The platform encourages reporting any inappropriate behavior.
9. Refund Policy
We issue full refunds for:
- Cancellations at least 4 hours before scheduled session.
- Tutor no-shows.
- Technical issues that prevent the session from taking place.
10. Communication
Communication between parents and tutors happens on external platforms the parties choose. Tutor on Wheels does not store these conversations.
11. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including disputes between parents and tutors. We are not responsible for the conduct or performance of tutors.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the courts of Quezon Province.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and via the platform.
